New Toll Bridge Opens to Traffic

senakp22910.jpg1senakp22910.jpg2senakp22910.jpgPrime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen accompanied by his wife Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen and other senior government officials on Sept. 20, cut red ribbon to inaugurate Tonle Sap River toll bridge on the outskirts of the Phnom Penh Capital in Russey Keo district.

The 996-meter-long bridge and 7,238 meter-long road was built by Ly Yong Phat Group at the total cost of USD 42,550,000.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Sen called upon the private sector to further take part on the investment of infrastructure field.

Related to his participating in the upcoming 2ndUS-Asean Meeting in New York City, Samdech Hun Sensaid he will ask the US to cancel the debt owes by Lon Nol’s US-backed Khmer Republic.
