Phnom Penh governor Kep Chutema gives a souvenir gift to Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong following a meeting between them held here on September 22.
In the meeting, the municipality governor told Truong Vinh Trong, who also is a chairman of the national committee for drug, prostitution and HIV/AIDS prevention and control of Vietnam, of the issues relating to the crackdown on a clandestine drug production, the drug trafficking and distribution and the setting up of detoxification centers. He also asked Vietnam to help build a building for treating drug users in Phnom Penh.
In reply, the Vietnamese deputy prime minister made his pledge to convey the municipality governor’s request to Vietnamese high-level officials for discussion and consideration, and respond to it later.
