Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen accompanied by his wife Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen and other senior government officials cut red ribbon inaugurating the 13.3 meter-tall Buddha statue and some achievements, which were built by charitable fund of grandfather Tan Vich Hong and family members of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sok An with the total cost of some US$ 500,000 at Phnom Chita Pich Pagoda in Kirivong district, Takeo province on Sept 9.
Addressing the ceremony, Premier Samdech Techo Hun Sen said a number of Cambodia’s national cultural heritages such as Angkor Wat and Preah Vihear Temples had already listed and some more temples are being reviewed and prepared for registration into the World Heritage Sites.
