Ministers from the six nations sharing the Mekong River, meets here on September 16 in an effort to eliminate cross-border barriers to development that are impeding the countries’ economic growth.
During a two-day (Sept. 16-17) Economic Corridors Forum, senior government ministers have discussed concrete measures to address inadequate infrastructure, policy and logistical bottlenecks, and skill deficits along the three major economic corridors joining the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries of Cambodia, People’s Republic of China, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam.
