Cambodia Wishes Thai Parliament’s Approval As Soon As Possible


Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E Hor Namhong, minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation tells reporters upon his arrival at Phnom Penh international airport on August 5 from Bangkok, where he joined the 6th meeting of joint committee for bilateral cooperation, saying that Cambodia asked Thai side to push the approval of Thai parliament as soon as possible to solve border issues including the measurement of the border to plant the first border post to the 23rd, linking from Anlong Veng to Tamoan temple; the measurement for border demarcation of Preah Vihea Temple area to prevent the arm dispute; and the signing of the report on the 33 border posts being found in the past.

Moreover, he said, the both sides promoted the bilateral cooperation between the two countries relating to the opening of a Stung Bat new border gate, the signing of MOU on purchasing Cambodia’s agricultural produce, Stung Metoeuk hydro-electric construction project in Koh Kong province and AMEC visas issue.
