Cambodian National Assembly’s First-Vice President H.E. Nguon Nhel presides over the Opening Ceremony of The Asian Parliamentary Assembly Meeting of the Sub-Committee on “Alleviating Poverty in Asia” in Siem Reap province on July 27.
Addressing the meeting, H.E Ngoun Nhel said the global financial crisis is continuing to affect to the economy in Asean as well as in Asia.
At the same time, he also shared some good experiences which Cambodia is being implemented as an aides-memoir to the sub-committee to conduct more study and seeks ways and means aims at establishing a poverty alleviating foundation in Asia.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Bangladesh, China, Cyprus, Indonesia, Iran, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia.
