Reconstruction of National Road 78 linking Strung Treng and Rattanakiri Provinces Launched





Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen operates a bulldozer this morning while he and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Ms. Zang Jin Feng jointly presiding over the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of 121km-long of National Road No. 78’s portion linking from O Poung Moan, Stung Treng province of National Road No. 7 to Ratanakiri’s provincial town.

The road is to be constructed under the US$ 73 million loans of the People’s Republic of China plus 5 percent of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s budget.

Speaking on the occasion, Premier Techo Hun Sen said that China is the country that help built the longest roads in Cambodia with the total length of more than 1,500 km with the total costs of over US$ 800 millions as well as provided over US$ 100 millions in loans for the total of 3,104 meter-long bridges’ constructions.
