The conference on Cambodia and the World after Financial Crisis




Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Keat Chhon, minister of Economy and Finance addresses a few introductory remarks on the past assignment of H.E. Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra in economy to the audience at the conference on “Cambodia and the World after Financial Crisis” held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Phnom Penh on November 12.

The Cambodian deputy minister said, “There are a lot of things we can learn from H.E. Dr. Thaksin’s very recent and distinctive experiences in order to design our own policies to address the challenges posed by the crisis and bring our economy back to its high growth record.”

Ex-Thai Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra gives a lecture to audiences in a conference on “Cambodia and the World after Financial Crisis” held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance on Nov. 12 with some 300 Cambodian economic experts attended. His presentation generally deals with the world economic crisis caused by the source of the development countries’ finance, the future economic power concentrating on Asian countries, a process of integration, modern technology and so on.

As regards Cambodia, he made some recommendations on tourism, agriculture, rural development and natural resources.
