Samdech Hun Sen meets with a newly appointed UN Human Rights Rapporteur




Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen meets with a newly appointed UN Human Rights Rapporteur Mr. Surya P. Subedi in Phnom Penh on June 18.
In the meeting, Cambodian premier recommended Mr. Subedi to meet with Mr. Om Yin Teang, head of Cambodian government’s Human Rights Committee in order to seek for understanding on the UN Human Rights Office in Cambodia headed by Mr. Christophe Peschoux, who attempted to take Kaing Guek Eav, better known as Duch to Thailand and than to Belgium in 10 years ago. He also asked the UN Human Right envoy to take into consideration of what Mr. Peschoux had done before in Cambodia? He further said what kind of role does Human Rights Office to Cambodia when its own official attempted to bring Duch out of Cambodia. The Royal Government of Cambodia and the UN are judging KR leaders.
