A Loan Agreement for Niroth Water Supply Project and Grant Agreemen

A Loan Agreement for Niroth Water Supply Project and Grant Agreement for the Project for Improvement of Equipment for Demining Activities (Phase V) between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was signed here on Wednesday by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Keat Chhon, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mr. Kazuhiro Yoneda, Chief Representative of JICA to Cambodia.

The loan for Niroth Water Supply Project has an amount of 3,513 million Japanese Yen. Equivalent to around USD 35 million, and carries an interest rate at 0.01% per annum and 40 years of maturity, including 10 years of grace period.

The grant for the Project for Improvement of Equipment for Demining Activities (Phase V) is for an amount of 548 million Japanese Yen, equivalent to around USD 5.50 million which will be used for purchasing demining equipments.
