Cambodian Secretary of State at the Council of Ministers H.E. Prak Sokhon, on April 7 inspects the training activities of Cambodian peace-keeping contingents at the Institute for Peacekeeping Forces, Mine and (Explosive Remnant of War) Clearance in Kampong Speu province.
On the occasion, H.E Prak Sokhon said that 120 troops will be dispatched to Chad and another 120 to Central Africa at the end of May or early June this year under the framework of UN Peacekeeping Mission and another brigade is standby for rotation.
As a result, Cambodian de-mining contingent in Sudan has so far cleared 5,338 hectares of land and found 2,394 anti-personnel mines, 157 anti-tank mines and 50,928 UXO.
