Cambodian Information Minister H.E. Khieu Kanharith (Right), meets at his cabinet here this afternoon with a delegation of Australian Parliament heade

On the occasion, Ms. Julie Owens told Cambodian minister that it was her first visit to Cambodia, but she has seen a lot of development here.

When asked about the press issue in Cambodia, H.E. Minister told the Australian delegation that currently there are over 500 newspapers, magazines, news bulletins, 8 TV stations and more than 40 radio stations and most of the journalists have their basic and concrete professional.

H.E. Khieu Kanharith added that the press law in Cambodia has a comprehensive characteristic and foreigner is granted the permission to run the newspaper too
