H.E Keat Chhon inspects the two small-scale hydropower in Mondulkiri province
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E Keat Chhon, Minister of Economy and Finance accompanied by Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines H.E. Suy Sem and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Katsuhiro Shinohara inspects the two small-scale hydropower in Mondulkiri province while presiding over the inaugurating ceremony on Feb. 23.
The hydropower with the capacity of 185kw/h each was funded by Japan's grant aid at the total amount of ¥1,066 million or nearly USD 10 millions

A signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on International Production Cooperation between the National Television of Cambodia (TVK) and Korean Broadcasting Institute (KBI) of the Republic of Korea was signed here Tuesday by H.E Kem Kunawath, TVK Director General and Mr. Harrison Yu, KBI General Manager under the high patronage of Cambodian Information Minister H.E Khieu Kanharith.
The above-mentioned cooperation is aimed at producing documentary film depicting the national pride and culture of Cambodia through the national heritage, economic development, natural resources and experience exchanges between Cambodia and Korea as well
The graduating ceremony of 2,358 students from Human Resource University
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his wife Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen hand over a certificate to a graduated student as a symbol while presiding over here Tuesday the graduating ceremony of 2,358 students from Human Resource University.
In his keynote remarks, Cambodian premier urged all graduated students to study ever harder to improve their own knowledge so as to contribute the national development.
Concerning the factories' workers, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has appealed to all workers and their leaders to be vigilant not to hold any illegal demonstration or strike under the incitement of a small group of instigators which will lead to the losses of their benefit while the global financial crisis is being faced and a lot of foreign countries' workers have lost their jobs

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sok An, cabinet minister meets with Mr. Peter Tekso Jensen, UN deputy secretary general in charge of Legal Affairs in Phnom Penh on Feb. 23.
During the meeting, both sides have acknowledged the development of KR tribunal and hoped that Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) will become an example court for the international community's justice system.
H.E Sok An has also agreed with UN official on some key points in the administrative structure so as to enforce the entire administration which will ensure the need of legal procedure in the ECCC

Cambodian Red Cross President Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen presides over the closing of the 14th and opening the 15th vocational training courses in Preah Vihear province on February 23.
After delivering her speech, Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen handed over certificates to 60 female graduates. She also donated one vehicle, one computer and USD 120,000 to build Provincial Red Cross Office.
The vocational training comprises of sewing, knitting, hair-dressing, skirt and scarf weaving and cosmetics.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen meets here today with Thai military delegation, led by Gen. Jeradej Kotcharat, deputy commander of Thai Infantry, in which the delegation apologized for a mistake made by Thai artillery being fired into Cambodia's territory upon the performance of military exercise in Thai province next to Cambodian border on Feb. 17.
The move was made following the two official apologize letters, one sent to Cambodia's military commander of Region IV by Thai military commander of Region II and another to Cambodia's Infantry Army Force's commander by Thai Infantry Army Force's commander Anukpong Phachinda.
The Cambodian premier told the reporters after the meeting, saying said that he gave recommendations to Thailand on investigating the matter

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen presides over the closing ceremony of the National Seminar on the Dissemination of the Vision, Strategy and Administrative Reform and Development its Action Plan for 2009-2013 held in Phnom Penh on February 17 with the participation of the representatives from all State ministries.
On the occasion, Premier Techo Hun Sen said what the Royal Government of the 4th mandate needs is the effectiveness of the public services. In this sense, he added that we must accelerate the public administration's improvement to become a reliable, intelligent and qualified servant.
Samdech Hun Sen went on to say that the public administrative reform will help not only improve the quality of public services and reduce poverty, but also strengthen the capacity building of each institution.
He further stressed that the 4th mandate royal government will continue to concentrate on the increase of civil servants' salary, the efficient use of IT network, the management enforcement, the civil servants' capacity building and the widening of women's role in the public administration
