The ceremony of Prek Kdam Bridge connection at Kadal province



Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen (center) accompanied by China Ambassador to Cambodia Ms. Zhang Jing Feng (1st left) and other senior government officials lays the concrete as a symbol while presiding over the ceremony of Prek Kdam Bridge connection today at Kadal province’s Ponhear Leu district.

A 981 meter-long by 13 meter-wide Prek Kdam Bridge crossing Tonle Sap River was being built since June 2007 by loan from China with the amount of USD 30,866,594. So far, the construction work has completed some 89% and is expected to be finished in April 2010.

Addressing on the occasion, Cambodian premier expressed thanks to the ambassador of China for her efforts and Chinese government for providing loan to construct the bridge, which will contribute to the Cambodia’s development as well as Cambodian people’s poverty reduction.
