Japan Extends Over US$33-Million Grant Aid to Cambodia


The Signing Ceremony for the Exchange of Notes for Japan’s ODA Grant Aid to Cambodia with the amount of ¥3,305,000,000 (approximately US$33.05 million) was inked here Thursday morning by Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister H.E Hor Namhong, minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Mr. Shinohara Katsuhiro, Japan’s Ambassador to Cambodia under the high presidency of Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

The ODA Grant Aid will contribute to the execution of the three following projects:

- ¥2,005,000,000 for the Project for Improvement of National Road No.1;

- ¥931,000,000 for the Project for Construction of Marine Aquaculture Development Center; and

- ¥369,000,000 for the Project for Rural Drinking Water Supply in Memot district of Kampong Cham province.
