PM Receives Thai Ambassador

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen warmly received here today newly-appointed Thai Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai.

The Thai diplomat hoped that his diplomatic mission will help facilitate the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between both countries, Ieng Sophalet, assistant to the prime minister told reporters after the meeting.

H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai also pledged to promote the visit exchange between Cambodian and Thai journalists and the cooperation in other fields.

In reply, the Cambodian premier welcomed the diplomatic mission of the Thai ambassador in Cambodia, through which he said the cooperation between the two neighboring countries will be further fostered and expanded.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen further said that his recent talk with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva (on the sidelines of the ASEAN-U.S. Leaders’ Meeting in New York) was a talk to increase mutual trust and cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand.
