The groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of National Road No. 62 in Kampong Thom province




Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Mrs. Zhang Jin Feng, Ambassador of China to Cambodia inspect and drive bulldozers while presiding over the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of National Road No. 62 in Kampong Thom province on Jan. 27.

A 128-km long road linking Kampong Thom province to Preah Vihear province’s Tbeng Meanchey is being reconstructed by the credit loan from the China plus the budget of the royal government of Cambodia at the total cost of USD 52 millions.

Addressing the ceremony, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the National Road No. 62 will provide the golden-diamond opportunities for the regional linking and Siem Reap province, which will attract more national and foreign tourists to visit Angkor Wat temple as well as provide more jobs for Cambodian people to improve their daily incomes.
