Visakh Bochea Day Celebrated Wednesday

National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhear Chakrei Heng Samrin and his wife together with Buddhist monks and people from across the country hold the annual religious ceremony of Visak Bochea on top of Odong Mountain in Kandal province’s Ponhea Leu district on April 28.

Samdech Hun Sen Becomes officially Member of the Royal Academy

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen was appointed as a member of the Royal Academy of Cambodia in the ceremony held yesterday at the Office of the Council of Ministers by the Royal Academy of Cambodia with the participation of his wife Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen and many other Cambodian executive and legislative officials.

PM Leaves for World Expo 2010 in Shanghai

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen shakes hands with Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Pan Guang Xue and other senior government officials at Phnom Penh International Airport this morning, prior to his departure to attend the World Expo in Shianghai, China which will be held from April 28 to May 2.

Premier Techo Hun Sen was accompanied by his wife Lok Chumtev Bun Rany Hun Sen and other senior government officials.

Finance Minister Meets ERIA Executive Director

Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Keat Chhon, Minister of Economy and Finance, meets with Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of Asean and East Asia Economic Research Institute of Japan in Phnom Penh on April 27.

During the meeting, H.E. Keat Chhon has asked Japan’s institute to help further conduct a study on how to improve Cambodia’s Preah Siahnouk Autonomic Seaport.

The 23rd Session of Asia and Pacific Commission on the Agricultural Statistics

The 23^rd Session of Asia and Pacific Commission on the Agricultural Statistics was opened in Siem Reap provincial town on April 26 under the auspices of H.E. Chan Sarun, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries with the participation of representatives from 17 countries.

In his keynote address, H.E. Chan Sarun said the agricultural field has created 70% of jobs for poverty reduction to the people.
