A delegation of the Ministry of Information pays an official visit to Vietnam



A delegation of the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia headed by its Minister H.E. Khieu Kanharith backed home on Thursday after concluding its five-day official visit to Vietnam.

While in Vietnam, the delegation had paid a courtesy visit to Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. During the meeting, H.E. Minister Khieu Kanharith expressed profound thanks to Vietnamese Premier H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung for his warm hospitality towards the delegation of Cambodian Information Ministry and thanked the all domains cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, particularly the information field cooperation, in which the government of Vietnam has always provide spiritual and material assistance to Cambodia.

H.E. Khieu Kanharith also highly praised the government and people of Vietnam for their fast national development.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H. E Sok An, cabinet minister meets here on Wednesday with Ms. Grace Fu, vice minister of Education and National development of Singapore.

In the meeting, H.E Sok An expressed profound thanks to Singapore for its contribution to “Cambodian Initiative Project” that provide supports to Cambodian Youth Association

The opening working meeting of the Private Sector Development Committee




Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H. E Keat Chhon, minister of Economy and Finance chairs the opening working meeting of the Private Sector Development Committee held in Phnom Penh on Mar. 31, in which the meeting focused on the Cambodia 2008 Investment Climate Assessment Report which organized by World Bank and International Financial Corporation.

Addressing the meeting, H.E Keat Chhon said the royal government of Cambodia has reserved some 30,000 million Riels (Cambodian Currency) roughly USD 7.5 millions for the expenditure of technical and vocational training for some 30, 000 youth and workers, who lost jobs.

The portion of road’s inauguration ceremony at Preah Sihanouk province





Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen presides over the portion of road’s inauguration ceremony at Stung Hao district, Preah Sihanouk province and inspects the port construction at a Special Economic Zone there on Mar. 31.

Addressing the ceremony, Cambodian premier said within the 4th legislative mandate, the royal government of Cambodia considers the building of the infrastructures the priority strategy by comparing to “a locomotive” in pulling the economic growth and the efficient way for poverty reduction.

Samdech Hun Sen warmly receives president of Honda Motorbike Company to Cambodia



Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen warmly receives Mr. Khanchai Kiasrithanokorn, president of Honda Motorbike Company to Cambodia at Takhmao town, Kandal province on March 31.

On the occasion, Mr. Khanchai Kiasrithanokorn donated 100 Honda motorbikes to Samdech Techo Hun Sen as contribution to the country’s development.

In reply, Samdech Hun Sen thanked the company and said he will allocate the motorbikes for uses in the remote areas

A three-day Women’s Football Com-Unity Seminar which was jointly organized by Football Federation of Cambodia and FIFA was closed here recently under the presence of H.E. Im Sothy, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.

A Basic Coaching Course for Women’s Football which was jointly organized by the Football Federation of Cambodia and FIFA was opened here recently under the presence of FFC President H.E. Sao Sokha (2nd L).
